INSTRUCTIONS

The SS-1 is designed to attach to your rifle just like any 2-point sling. Follow these steps to get it properly configured:

1. Attach the Sling: Attach the front of the sling to the forend of your rifle. Attach the rear of the sling to either the buttstock (highly recommended) or the rear of the receiver. Use the attachment hardware of your choice. The Salamander pin can either go in the same loop as your attachment hardware or threaded into the top of the tri-glide. 

2. Adjust the Base Length: With the sling resting over your left shoulder and across your body (holding your tool in front of you), attempt to connect the two halves of the coupler.

    • If it feels too tight or too loose: Adjust the overall sling length using the adjustment point at the buttstock end.

3. Tune the Tension: Now, bring your rifle up into a shooting/deployed position.

    • To adjust on the fly: Simply use the main adjusting strap and cam on the sling to achieve your desired tension.

4. Ready for Use: Once the tension feels right in both positions, your setup is complete and good to go!

Additional Carry Options & Notes

  • Barrel-Down Carry: For a more traditional carry style, you can connect the coupler while positioning the rifle in a barrel-down configuration without modification. 
  • Traditional Stocks: If you are using a traditional rifle stock, you will need a rear adapter to relocate the mounting point from the bottom of the buttstock to the top. (Note: These adapters will be available in our store in the near future!)
